Prium® Working End 400 and 4000 series

The Prium® Working End 400 and 4000 series, along with the Forehearths, provide an integrated glass conditioning solution. Excellent standards of temperature control are achieved by utilising a bespoke design process which guarantees the use of specified graded insulation packages for each particular application.  

The Prium® Working End design has evolved from what had traditionally been a reservoir of glass to a mathematically modelled process for optimum performance. Parameters such as glass stream and its velocity are modelled against temperature control. This ensures the stable performance of the conditioning process whilst providing flexibility to meet the needs of today’s glass production. The Working End can be designed to distribute glass to any number of Forehearths over a range of tonnage pulls. Dead corners are designed out and flow paths streamlined, preventing quality problems caused by these areas.

With extensive experience of gas, oil, electric and oxy-fuel heating systems, a bespoke solution can be produced to meet both your production and environmental needs. High cooling capacities also allow the footprint of the systems to be kept to a minimum. When used alongside the Prium®  Forehearth 400 and 4000 series, a complete hot end glass conditioning solution is produced. This ensures an efficient handling of a stable homogenous molten glass flow, whilst providing sufficient flexibility for today’s production needs.

Thanks to its efficiency and versatility, the Prium® Working End is now a standard on its market and has dramatically changed the way glass is thermally conditioned. Many major glass producers in the world are now well equipped with the Prium® Working End.
