Fives was selected in August 2011 as the EPCM contractor for the complete process line, composed of the batch plant, the melting furnace, the tin bath, the annealing lehr and the cutting line. 

Well-know in energy, real estates and hollow glass, Cornelio Brennand Group is extending their activities, through their new subsidiary Vivix (CBVP), in building the first and the most modern integrated state-of- the-art float glass plant in Pernambuco, a fast- growing and industrial region.

The glass plant is erected at Goiana in Pernambuco region in Brazil on East Coast. Suape harbour, close to Recife and West shipping route provides easy access to the European and American markets for its products.

Vivix (CBVP), as a new incomer in float glass industry, counts on Fives know-how to be the main independent supplier for architectural sector. Furthermore, part of the production is also dedicated for automotive industry.

The new float glass plant is designed for a nominal production of 800 mt/d and will be able to increase its capacity to 880 mt/d. Vivix (CBVP) integrate, through Fives, the most recent technologies from the raw material treatment to the glass handling services. In addition, Fives also provide the start-up and operation assistance services for a long term partnership with Vivix (CBVP).
